Hi, I’m Mariah.
When my partner was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s, I didn’t think of myself as a caregiver. I was just the person in the passenger seat, then slowly I became the one holding everything.
It didn’t happen all at once. After the initial shock of his diagnoses, life was fairly normal. Then the slow burn of changes started to take effect and one day I looked around and I didn’t have anyone who could relate to what I was going through.
I went looking for support and found checklists, pamphlets, and forums built for people years further down the road. Useful, sometimes. But nothing that said: this is hard, you’re not failing, and you still get to be a whole person.
So I’m building it. Care Frequency is the space I wish I’d had in the first year: warm, honest and built by a neurodivergent brain that notices patterns and won’t pretend things are fine when they aren’t. I don’t have a clinical certification. What I have is the inside view. If you’re here, you probably have it too.
